Your Domain Name - Whats included?

We will register a .co.uk domain name on your behalf which will be hosted on our server space. If at any point in future you wish to move your domain name to another host then we will do this free of charge.

The domain name registration lasts for two years after which it must be re-registered again. We will undertake the re-registration when the two years is up for a small charge.

Note this service can be purchased individually for £10+VAT for .co.uk addresses and £30+VAT for .com

Beware cheap domain name registration companies

One of the first lessons in business is that you rarely if ever get something for free. There are domain name registration companies that advertise domain names for a pound or similar incredible offers. What they neglect to tell you is that there registration is usually tied into other much more expensive services. You get a cheap domain name and then they charge you through the nose to host your website or set up email accounts. When you realise this and decide to move invariably they have a get out clause where they charge you for moving the domain name away. In the long run you end up paying more!! You have been warned!!

The most popular domain name scam - watch out

You get a phone call out of the blue from a concerned company who has just discovered that someone is trying to register your domain name or one that is very similar. i.e we own www.3k-design.co.uk and someone is trying to register www.3k-design.com - Luckily for you they have spotted that this company is trying to pinch business using a variation on your domain name! They have stopped the registration or similar and have contacted you straight away to kindly let you know and to offer to secure the domain name at a reasonable fee. Of course you end up paying over the odds for a domain name you don't really need because you believe that an imaginary competitor is trying to trade on your domain name. Sometimes they even promise to register it for 10 years for a discounted rate and then you find out they only registered it for two.
